how to find the area of a triangle and parallelogram

how do you find the area of the triangle?

first you measure the base of the triangle then you measure the hight of the triangle. then you multiply the base and the hight and then you divide the answer by two. you then have this number you don't know what to do with so just to tell you thats your new answer! all you have to do is add the cm2.

how to find the area a parallelogram?

first you measure the base and then you measure the hight and then you multiply them.So now you have this number then you divide it by two, then don't forget to write cm2. Also when you cut the parallelogram in half i turns into two triangles so when you measure the triangles they will still be the same base and hight and when you multiply the numbers usaully that answer and if you put that parallelgram on a graph paper example 24 is your answer then 242 squares would be able to fit into the parallelogram but if you cut in half the number would stay the same. there would be many less squares that would be able to fit into the triangle.
